About the church

The church of St Michael’s, Llanrug is now in the care of the Church in Wales, having been closed for worship a number of years ago. A ‘Caffi Church’ meets at 11am on the first Sunday of the month in Llanrug Institute on Station Rd. Visitors are always welcome!

St Michael’s Churchyard remains the responsibility of Bro Eryri Ministry Area and plans are in hand to develop a sustainable maintenance programme. Among the 900 or so graves is that of General Sir Hugh Rowlands, the first Welsh recipient of the Victoria Cross.
